It’s been an interesting month.
How To Live (the short film) exists, as promised.
Then I threw an event to try and fund the upcoming stuff for Your Story, Vancouver.
This involved organizing 8 DJs, a photographer, a filmmaker, a venue and an audience in a week. I got all but one of those figured out in time.
Though the artists still played, and content from that event is all on it’s way, the night turned into a huge speed bump and I ended up losing a bunch of money I didn’t have.
This has sort of backed me against the wall with this project.
I have found creative ways to contact blogs, journalists, local & international news sources, celebrities, public figures, the guy who shot his daughter’s laptop, modelling agencies in London, most of the rag tag team, etc through emails, tweets, Facebook messages, tumblr messages, etc trying to get some exposure for all of this.

I used ‘etc’ twice to really drive home the fact that I have been at this 100% of the time, all the time, without a lot of sleep since the beginning of the year. I usually won’t go to bed until I have at least one new reason to believe I might be famous when I wake up.
(This blog, and the video above it are no exception to that.)
I put together my demo of the last 3 years: TicketsForWhat.tumblr.com
I put together this, this & this.

I want to create my own story, and I want it to be interesting, funny and benefit anybody that choose to be a part of it.
I know what I’m capable of, and when something requires a talent that I don’t have, I give the opportunity to someone else and let them shine.
LATML is proof of that. The only thing in that whole project that proves I had anything to do with it, is that half the notes on the mirror are from me (to me).
Kyle Cossairt directed it, Evan Bourque did the music, Shawn Yeo did the cinematography/owned the camera, Oliver, Rachel & Keshia acted in it, the locations are just places we had access to, Kyle designed the postcard/tuxedo brochure, Marcie did the photography/calendar design, etc.
Kyle even made this:

I’ve contacted artists all throughout the city about getting on board with the idea of an art gallery, and even heard back from people back in Kamloops who want to drive down and see it.
Just today, the Vancouver Art Gallery told me they can’t host it, so I’ve contacted the public library & the Vancouver Aquarium. If I don’t hear back from either of them in the next few days, I’ll be going door to door to different venues that have hosted similar events.
I owe a lot of people money, and I can not afford another next month’s rent.
The unfortunate truth is that if I can’t get this seen in the next two weeks, and somehow pull off ‘Mitch & Bret Jamaican Me Wanna Dance’, I simply will not be able to do any of these events and the web series will be both delayed and completely reworked.

I’ll have to move all my stuff back to Kamloops, borrow more money from some people to pay off others and head up north for long enough to come back at this with a financially clean slate.
I am not asking for donations, sponsorship, a producer, an agent, etc.
I just need your attention.
So I will tag this with the most relevant tags I can think of.
